Very hard to find china plate commemorating the Land Speed Record set by Fred Marriott driving the "Rocket" Stanley Steamer on Ormond beach in 1906, issued for the 1974 Torino car show (Salone Internazionale dell'Automobile di Torino).
                                       
In the 60's and 70's the Torino car show issued every year a different plate, designed by artist Piero Fornasetti, commemorating an important date in the history of the automobile, mostly a race victory or a land speed record. They have always been popular and sought after among automobile collectors.

1909 Green Stanley Diecast Model


Registration tag from the first Stanley Steamer sold in upstate New York.  It was sold to Henry Edmond Bigelow in Essex County, Essex, NY.  This early type of registration medallion was attached to the dash of the vehicle, and measures a little over two inches in diameter.  This is an extremely valuable item.  The details in the picture are clear and legible enough so that you can print it and research the item. Found on Ebay 2/1/06 with an asking price of $499,000!
